#1 2009 WORLDS!
GOLD! GOLD! GOLD!

Jens Kroker, Robert Prem and Siegmund Mainka (GER), Gold in Beijing 2008!

|
North Sonar sails have been a class standard since the early 1980s
when the Bruce Kirby designed boat first hit the water. Now, in it's
second decade, North continues to be the sail making leader for this
23' Racer/Cruiser. With 500+ boats built, North Sonar Sails dominate
the results board including, most recently, winning the North American
Championships.
SONAR
SUPER MAIN +
World Champion!
Our updated SuperMain+ is the most versatile main in the class providing excellent light air performance and dominating speed in breezy conditions. A true all-around mainsail!
The improved design of the Super Main + will improve your flat water and light air performance! This new design allows the top of the main to stay open and flowing in light air while still providing enough punch in the leech to enable you to point with the best of them.
Our Sonar Super Main + is constructed out of North Cloth 5.5
ounce Olympic Dacron. This yarn-tempered, balanced construction
cloth proves to be the fastest most durable fabric for this
main which, with it's large roach and low aspect design, proves
to be quite a lot of fun to trim.
"Many thanks again for the sails- they really are a massive improvement on our previous ones which just don't quite level up to yours. In short, you've got one very happy customer. Many thanks."
Charlotte Perkins,

- Sail numbers
- Sonar insignia
- Vision/telltale
window
- Sail bag

AP ++ SONAR JIB
World Champion!
The jib of choice of many Sonar champions the AP++ allows teams to count on one jib design for superior performance from 0-25MPH!!! Features a forgiving, fast shape that allows it to be the best all-purpose jib available!
Our All-Purpose Plus Plus Jib has won countless North American
and Midwinter titles. Its forgiving shape allows the helmsman to easily concentrate
on going fast while allowing the jib trimmer to be an integral
part of the boats speed.
Jib include:
A telltale window
is available as an optional.

FP SONAR JIB
Our FP Heavy air jib is the perfect complement to your inventory for those heavy air days or if you sail light and need help keeping the Sonar flat when the wind picks up.
The FP Jib is designed for heavy air or light crews that need help in keeping the Sonar flat when the breeze pipes up. An ideal sail for many Para-teams (where you can sail with only two in the rail).
The first FP Jib won a race at the Worlds in Cowes and the design was used to win the Fall Para-event in St. Petersburg.
Jib include:
A telltale window
is available as an optional.

SONAR RADIAL LIGHT SPINNAKER
World Champion!
Our proven all-purpose performing Full Radial design that covers a wide range of sailing conditions. One spinnaker for all conditions so you are certain to always have the right spinnaker tied on!
The Sonar Radial Light Spinnaker, designed by Ched Proctor,
was introduced as the one spinnaker to cover a wide range
of sailing conditions. This full radial spinnaker is a great reacher, while truly
excelling in broad reaching and running on the windward/leeward
courses frequently raced by Sonars.

"Just a quick note to tell you how much I like the sails. I sailed in the middle of a Sonar for about 10 races last year, no one else had been on one before. Doug, the bow guy, used to race Solings and Stars but hadn't competed on anything like this in over 20 years. My wife's experience with sailing was sitting on the rail of a C&C 35 four years ago. We're green.
We immediately had better or equal boat speed and pointing to any other boat out there. I credit the sails with a large part of our success last night. Given our inexperience my goal was to not finish last. Instead we pulled a 2nd among crews that have far more experience in the boats. It wasn't tactics or boat handling, because our boat handling was terrible and we didn't have time to think tactics, it was pure boatspeed." -- John D'Aurizio - Sonar
"I used four year
old North sails and still placed fourth! I finished in front of
Bob Winter who had 2 month old Doyle Sails and had Jane Pegal,
a very famous woman sailor, as his tactician. It was also the
first time I had ever competed in a regatta as helmsman." -- Tom McGreevy, 2000 Sonar
