"Just thought you'd like to hear that the new sail performed beautifully this weekend at Lake Pleasant. Conditions on Saturday were "windless" and we only got in one race that started at less than 5 knts and died on a shortened course. For the first time in light conditions, we were faster than the Merit 25s with 170s upwind. On Sunday, the breeze was 8-10 and the boat was fully powered up and probably wouldn't like 12 knts. However, we simply walked away from the Merits and a J27. But the J80 just loves this sail at around 5-6 knts in flat water, which we had in the final race Sunday and won by over 14 minutes. Finally, the boat can sail to its handicap against the Merits (which rate 168 vs my 126). Now if I can just eliminate mental errors by the skipper! Anyway, thanks again for a really nice job on the sail and my offer stands to take you out whenever you make a trip over to Phoenix!" -- John Wilcox What Do You Say?
