"Vince, we just raced for the first time since you came out with us and we found ourselves much more successful than before. We practiced two days before the SDYC OD races and it resulted in much improved performance on the course.
The fleet of nine boats wasn’t the routine 30 boat tough fleet, but we scored a first and second place, due to much improvement in upwind speed (and better tacks and gybes).
The key improvement was carrying about six turns more upper tension that in past races. The uppers setting that you tuned for us gave us the ability to point, and with changing the blocks behind the mast we could upshift when the wind increased and downshift when the wind died. In the past, we were always low, and downshifting didn’t improve anything, and nothing could get us to point well.
Thanks again for coming out with us and providing the impetus for our improvement".

PC-F MAINSAIL All-Purpose
-
This newly designed all-purpose mainsail is easy to trim and delivers consistent speed in all conditions, allowing you to concentrate more on tactics.
-
2008 results so far... 1st Piana Cup, 1st Sid Doren Regatta, 1st Florida State Champs, 1st Midwinters East, 1st Midwinters West!
-
The PC-F was optimized for stiffer masts; however, we still sell the PC+ model for strong winds or softer masts. Contact your local North Sails One Design representative for advice on your mast deflection and which mainsail will suit you best.
-
NEW for 2008! Our maisails feature the newly approved large spreader and sighting windows
-
We supply two top battens, one designed for heavy air.

PC+ MAINSAIL
-
A true all purpose sail designed for variable conditions.
-
We use 5.5 oz. cloth in the body of the sail and 6. 0 oz.
fabric in the high load lower leech of the sail.
-
This sail comes complete with double vision windows, spreader
window and a full length top batten. NEW for 2008! Our maisails feature the newly approved large spreader and sighting windows
-
We supply two top battens, one designed for heavy air.

LM-2
JIB Light-Medium
-
Our Light-Medium Jib is made out of 270 HTP fabric from Dimension and performs best in winds between 0-14 knots. The lower portion of the luff is more open to allow it to be trimmed harder when the breeze increases.
-
All jibs come standard with two sets of luff snaps and removable full length top batten.

LM-2H
JIB Light-Medium
-
If you are looking for superior durability and better shape retention over the life of the sail, this is the LM-2 model out of Dimension's heavier 300 HTP cloth. The wind range for the LM-2H is 6-18 knots, making the sail a very useful “all-purpose” jib.
-
All jibs come standard with two sets of luff snaps and removable full length top batten.

GM-6.5 JIB Medium-Heavy
-
For winds over 14 knots, this is the jib to use. This is an overall flatter jib with a nice round entry. The GM-6.5 makes steering easier when the wind and waves are up.
-
This sail has dominated the 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2005 World Championships.
-
All jibs come standard with two sets of luff snaps and removable full length top batten.

FULL-RADIAL SPINNAKER
All-Purpose
|

|
-
Our all-purpose spinnaker is consistently fast through the wind range. Because of its radial construction this sail will hold shape longer and outlast the performance of any cross-cut design.
-
Made from minimum weight AirX 500 cloth, the Full Radial is our
all purpose spinnaker. If you are only going to buy one sail
this is it.
-
This sail feature an extra full lower section for pole-back
deep running that the Etchells is so good at.
-
The Full Radial is available in red, white and
dark blue only.
-
Also available in .75 oz. cloth for improved durability.
|
VMG SPINNAKER
Light Wind
|

|
-
This narrow and slightly flatter spinnaker comes into its own in winds under 6 knots. The smaller upper girth of the VMG makes it fly more easily as the apparent wind goes forward in light conditions.
-
Great when the wind in close to the beam the smaller size
of this sail makes it fly more easily in lighter wind speeds.
-
Also available in .75 oz. cloth for improved durability.
|
NEW! K-3 BI-RADIAL SPINNAKER

|
-
The K-3 Bi-Radial Spinnaker takes you from 10 knots upwards. Pushed to max size, with a crosscut head section holding the shape all the way into the leeches supporting these massive shoulders.
-
Manufactured from a mix of AirX 600 in the top few head panels and AirX 500 covering the rest of the body of the sail.
- Available in solid colors red, white or blue.
