NORTH 3DL 800
CARBON MAINSAIL
The all new 3DL 800L Carbon Mainsail was the culmination of several years of sail development by North Sails top sail designers.
This sail has been developed as an all purpose mainsail to be used from 0-25 knots. We chose to utilize 100% Carbon fibers in this sail to maximize weight savings, shape holding ability, and longevity. We have seen in other classes that the carbon fiber sails not only last longer, but, they hold their shape better when the wind is up and they flog less than aramid sails.
This new sail features internally molded in batten pockets to insure constant shape from tack to tack, draft stripes, custom batten adjusters, RBS E glass battens, vision windows, spreader patches(loose), and a roll bag.

NORTH 3DL 600
ARAMID MAINSAIL
Range: 0-25 knots
The 3DL 600L Aramid Mainsail features the same great shape and specifications as the 3DL 800L mainsail but is produced using 100% Aramid fibers as a lower cost alternative to the 3DL 800L mainsail.

LIGHT SPEED
TRI-RADIAL HYBRID ARAMID JIB
The new Light Speed jib was designed for the light air and chop that we see at many regatta venues. This sail was developed for the Worlds in Nassau and proved to be a great weapon to out speed the competition and win the World Championship title. The Light speed jib is produced from slightly lighter cloth and geared toward the 0-12 knot wind range.
Jibs come with draft stripes, vision windows, telltale window, and a roll bag. |

LIGHT/MEDIUM
TRI-RADIAL HYBRID ARAMID JIB
1st 2008 and 2009 Worlds!
The Light/Medium jib is designed to complement either mainsail. This jib is a fuller design with lots of power down low and plenty of twist up high to power the boat through the chop or swell of the open sea. We recently fine tuned the shape of this sail to widen its effective wind range and give it more power down low. A must have for the 5.5 meter regatta circuit. The designed wind range for this sail is 5-18 knts.
Jibs come with draft stripes, vision windows, telltale window, and a roll bag. |

WHOMPER RUNNER SPINNAKER
2010 World Championship!
58 square meters of area, we took the Monster and made it even bigger. This sail is fast in 8-20 knots where it's large size is just right.
We make this sail out of Superlite 50 which is a light and durable material that is best in this wind range. |

MONSTER RUNNER SPINNAKER
RECOMMENDED AP RUNNER!
This is the fastest runner on the market, designed to project a large area and has a very fast stable flying shape. This sail is 54 sq.m and constructed with Superlite 50, a light, stable fabric that sheds water nicely and has a very high tear resistance. The useable wind range for this sail is 6-23 knots, and is the best all purpose runner for a two sail inventory. If you sail in predominantly windy venues you should consider this sail out of Airx 600, a slightly heavier, stronger fabric. |
|
|
MID-SIZE RUNNER
This sail is designed to cover the lower wind ranges and the tighter angles that you may encounter in a light shifting breeze, especially on the lakes. This sail is 49 sq.m, and constructed out of Superlite 50 .05oz material. This sail is also a very good All Purpose spinnaker for the light air lakes. Recommended wind range 0-8 knots or if necessary up to 25 knots. |
|
|
VMG LIGHT RUNNER
Designed for 0-6 knots
The VMG Light Runner is designed for the really light drifty stuff where you can barely fly a spinnaker. This sail is 44 sq.m and is made with Contender Superlite 40.
This sail is a must have for the Swiss Lakes, or to really fill out the inventory for a serious campaign. If it is very light and lumpy you must have this sail.
